6/5/2018 0 Comments The Joys of PackingWhat's up guys! I hope you're all enjoying your Tuesday and the nice weather. Today I wanted to get into something that I do a lot, which is packing. So for those of you who don't know, I travel to St. Paul very often for doctors appointments. Sometimes, well, really most of the time we have to stay overnight for these appointments. So over the years I have learned the best and worst packing methods and because I'm such a nice person and I want all of your lives to be as convenient as possible, I'll be sharing these methods with you today. Method #1: Don't overpack! Okay, so I don't know if you're one of these people, I know I was before I learned how to arrange everything. I had the issue of taking way too many bags with me on a trip. My clothes would be in one bag, electronics in another, and stuff for the drive in another. That's three different bags for me and meanwhile my dad only had like one or two. In order to fix this problem, I organized things properly. What we did was we folded each outfit together, then each roll would be put in as far and as tight as it could, thus creating more space than folding would. Next came electronics and toiletries. The toiletries would just get put in a pocket inside but electronics could be put on top of the rolls of clothes since they were flatter than before. Doing this just removed one bag to store in limited car space. As for the car stuff, I know you could put it all in your suitcase, but then you would have to dig it all out, so for convenience, I just keep it in a bag that I can have with me. Method #2: Only take what you need! This one is pretty simple people. If you're going to the beach, take warm weather clothes, such as shorts, t-shirts, sunglasses, sandals, a swimsuit, etc. Don't take winter clothes that'll make you sweat all day long, that's stupid. Yep, I know I just called you stupid but you must be if you take winter clothes to a beach. This method also helps save space in your bag since you're only taking what you'll be needing for this particular trip. Method #3: Be smart when packing. This one is pretty much everything you just learned, combined. Being smart means taking things that are going to benefit you and keep you comfortable. So, let's use the beach again. If you're going to the beach don't pack hiking boots because they're not going to keep you comfortable and it's a lot easier to walk in sandals or barefoot on the beach. Being smart also means having everything you need. To do this I would make a list of everything you NEED, not what you want. Now this list can either be physical or mental. I do mental because there's a less likely chance I'll lose it or damage it. That's it for today guys! Hopefully you found this helpful for your next trip and if not, go look somewhere else I guess. Hope you all enjoyed this and I'll write you soon!
